Christina Johnson

Areas of Specialization: Multi Sport Specific Training & Conditioning, Injury Prevention and Return to Sport, Speed and Agility Training, Functional Movement Screening, Movement analysis (Dartfish), Bariatric (Surgical Weight Loss) Program, Fitness and Weight Loss Program, Geriatric (In-S.H.A.P.E) and Sports Performance.

Christina has a wide variety of experience in the field of sports performance and personal training. During her time at Hampton University, she worked with Division I athletes from the football, basketball, volleyball, cross country and track and field teams both on and off the field. She also competed for the MEAC Track and Field Conference during that time as a sprinter and long jumper.

Current member of the National Track and Field Association and competes as a sprinter and long jumper for the United States of America (Active member since 2004).

  • Bachelors of Science in Health & Physical Education, Minor in Kinesiology from Hampton University

Christina is currently pursuing the ACL Prevention and Return to Play Certification from SportsMetrics, and a Level 1 Power Ropes certification. Upon completion of those certifications she will be pursuing the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certifications.

Christina is a Virginia native; born in Richmond Virginia and a resident of Hampton Virginia for the past 18 years. She has always been a powerhouse in the track and field world but has a general love and interest in specialized training, injury prevention and promoting an active lifestyle, which naturally brought her to Bon Secours In Motion Physical Therapy and Sports Performance.

Being no stranger to injury and the hard work and sacrifice that it takes to come back from that to compete at the highest level, Christina is right at home with every level of physical activity from beginning to elite athletes.
