In Motion Staff Boosts Two New Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement Specialists

Bon Secours In Motion Physical Therapy and Sports Performance, soccer, concussion management, sports performance specialists, athletic trainers, sports injury, concussion rehabilitation, acl tear, athletic injury, sports medicineAfter many hours spent in textbooks and reviewing online modules, Ryan Neal and Wyle Maddox from our In Motion at Healthy Way clinic in Virginia Beach have successfully passed both their Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) exams.

What is a Performance Enhancement Specialization (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialization (CES)?
The Performance Enhancement Specialization (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialization (CES) combine sports performance assessment results with cutting-edge exercise techniques to deliver maximum returns for athletes. The PES excels in its goal of full spectrum integrated sports performance enhancement, including in-depth flexibility, cardiorespiratory, core, balance, plyometric, speed, agility, quickness, integrated multiplanar resistance, and sport specific training. The CES addresses the other elements of performance enhancement and implements many functional exercises to improve muscle balance and decrease risk of injury.

Together, these specializations enable sports performance specialists to work with athletes at any performance level, in any sport, one-on-one, or with a whole team.

These courses are offered by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), an organization that works with professional sports performance clinicians to educate them on the latest methods for training injury prevention and performance enhancement.

Why should I visit a PES/CES?
Sports Performance Coaches that have these specializations have an expertise in evaluating athletes, finding their weaknesses and developing programs that help correct form and prevent injury. Whether you’re working with a muscular imbalance or a range of motion limitation, a PES/CES certified trainer can help you generate maximum power and performance.
