May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. It is a time in which we as individuals, social groups or families can recommit ourselves to living a healthier lifestyle and it all begins with activity. Bon Secours In Motion invites you to join our drive to boost awareness about the benefits of exercise both physically and mentally. Challenge yourselves to take action in May 2016!

Benefits of Physical Activity

    2. Improves neuromuscular adaptation and coordination.
    3. In groups, activity increases social skills.
    4. Improves heart health and decreases obesity (a leading factor in diabetes).

    3. Improves bone density and strengthens muscles.

Group Ideas for Starting Your Activity Commitment

  1. Family walks after dinner.
  2. A “take the stairs” commitment with your social group at work.
  3. Signing up for a local cause/charity walk with your community group (ex. AHA’s Heart Walk).

In Motion is also offering several summer programs at our Chilled Ponds (Chesapeake) and Boo Williams (Hampton) facilities for those looking to kick start their fitness or improve their athletic performance.   1. Breakfast Club Special
    1. Training sessions available from 6:00am to 12:00pm.
    2. Unlimited training sessions per month with a certified performance coach.
    3. Nutrition Evaluation and monthly follow-ups with a registered dietitian.
    4. Monthly one-hour recovery massage with a licensed massage therapist.
  2. Summer Speed and Agility Program
    1. Ages: 10 to 13 years old
    2. Program will be on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-7:00pm beginning June 21st and ending July 28th.
  3. Summer Sports Performance Program
    1. Available to Junior High, High School and College athletes
    2. 35% OFF our regular program pricing.
    3. Session and monthly packages are available.
